  4. In Westbound Sign, the first verse used to sound like "Blah blah, bla bla bla bla bla bla-ah blah blah blah bla bla blah blah blah blah blah blah bla blah blah blah bla bla, westbound sign" to me.

  5. Anytime I've showed one of my friends a live Green Day performance they always mention how they're one of the few bands who sound almost as good as the album.

  6. I think Billie's voice is one of the best I've ever heard. He's in one of the best rock bands in the world, and he manages to live up to that title - keeping the crowd entertained and running around, while also maintaining a wonderful voice. When you hear some artists on a record compared to their live performances, it's just awful, but Billie remains one of the most consistent in my book. He even sometimes sounds better live.

  10. Haha, no, I've just been thinking about our discussion on this subject recently and I've decided you're wrong. I have to disagree that first hand experience is misleading, because that's what happened - it is the experience. If anything, watching something back is misleading, for better or worse. When a band play live they're doing it for the audience that's there, which is kind of all that matters. It's like when people complain about the setlists getting stale because they watch crappy footage of every single show on YouTube and look up what they played on Setlist.fm - totally irrelevant. If it sounds good to those in attendance, that's the important thing. I think it should be taken into account that playing live you get one chance to get it right. When you're doing 30 songs over the course of two hours, plus interacting with the audience and running around the whole time, you're not gonna sound as good as you do in the studio, when you can spend as long as you want getting the best possible take, and probably only do a song or two a day. Live stuff never has the primary function of being watched back, it's meant to be a good experience for those there at the time. So unless you're saying you thought he sucked at Brixton, your argument is invalid. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I don't even necessarily disagree with you, you're just being overly critical and should give him a break

  12. Not true at all. As I posted at the start of this topic, the only full live show I saw was the Reading show. I thought he sounded damn good.

  15. My Physics teachers loves old rock music (and occasionally pulls his guitar out in the middle of class during downtime and start playing; Even got him to play When I come Around) So in all his quizzes in the title he finds some pun or something to play on the word quiz. Today it said "Sometimes my Quiz Plays tricks on me"

  21. That actually works really well as a lyric, it's a shame that's not it. To be honest the image in my head was of god struggling to have a poo... What is it with that song? For ages I thought the opening line was "I'm the son of Rachel Love" and decided that was Whatsername's real name.

  24. Imagine someone whose unfamiliar with the band, who decides to check them out after seeing them in Kerrang! a few times. They're then introduced to this amazing collection of music that we all know and love, they eagerly await new music, they go to the concerts, they meet someone who also likes the band, make friends, etc. They have a new soundtrack to get them through the bad times and to play along with the good times. That alone makes it worth it.

  32. It only just occurred to me that the amount of times Billie touches his penis during a concert is unsanitary. I was just so blindly appreciative that he was doing it that I didn't take a second and think, wait, now fans' faces are covered in essence of Billie urine and heaven knows what else.
