but that article is a Swiss one in Italy he said that too but noone cared xD and yes these two words are pretty offensive here in italy, just imagine.. if you say those two words in television,it's something tragic the litteral translation is like: "pig god" or "dirty god"...I don't even know how to traslate it I remember that some years ago,two guys who were in the realityshow "Big Brother", said those words too and they were banned from the show..It's very offensive,a sort of "taboo" word here... but I think Billie didn't really know the real meaning and didn't want to offend anyone...seems like he said it just for fun...2 points

Typical italian stuff. Meh my poor country. Like he's said the EXACT SAME THING on the last 2 tours ( 3 counting the 99 revolutions one )on every show and nothing like this was brought up. And the "Do not invite em anymore" thing: Pathetic. Green Day has other festivals to headline and much more important ones too. Speechless.2 points

What did he say in Italian? I don't speak Italian so the word will be nothing to me but I'd like to learn more words that are more offensive than fuck because Billie has made it so that fuck has lost all meaning to me Is it like an offensive to religious people kind of word?2 points

He said "musica bella è la lingua di dio...porco dio" the last two words are pretty offensive if you are religious but as I explained above I don't understand the reason why all this came up now, it's not like he never said it before, plus I think he just asked someone from the crew how to say "god damn" in Italian and they translated this way so he didn't even know what he was really saying1 point

I met Billie Joe in an alley after a show in Chicago in September 2004. They played 4 club shows before American Idiot came out (LA, New York, Chicago, and Toronto). This was to promote the album by playing it in its entirely live before it came out. It was me and like 10 other people that waited by the side door exit in the alley of the club. I had my arm around Billie Joe while he was signing autographs. I didn't know what to say, so I said "Great show" and he said "Thanks." Then I said "I like the new album" He looked surprised at first, because American Idiiot hadn't come out yet, but then I think he realized that he just played the whole album live, and he said "Thanks." Tre was in a van, so I ran up to it and met him through the back window of the van. I just stood there and looked at him and didn't know what to do, then Tre started pressing his face against the glass and making faces at me. I just laughed. It was awkward and funny at the same time. I really wish I had pictures. They didn't allow cameras, and this was before digital cameras came out, so I couldn't sneak a 35mm camera inside.1 point

This is the back cover of the Lookouts album IV. I'm pretty sure the flower here inspired the infamous Kerplunk flower that so many people have tattooed I also love "B.J. plays in Green Day usually".1 point

Aww yeah. Page own in my favorite thread I wonder what it's like to be Billie, knowing that thousands and thousands of girls find every bit of him so damn attractive. Like, every bit of him.1 point

Not sure if this counts, but I'm a journalism student (I work at newspapers) and I'm constantly finding myself subconsciously slipping Green Day references into my stories... or resisting the urge to. Science story about space? 2,000 light years away. Sleeping pills story? Insomniac. I tried to make a headline for a photo of an environmentally-friendly event "Green Day," but then I realized I'm probably the only one who would find it clever. It's becoming problematic...1 point
