oh yeah no, Billie is a total jerk, like just yesterday after the Locarno show he totally proved it again, I mean here he comes, walking up to his bus, but instead of just going inside, that jerk actually changes his mind and starts shaking peoples hands, I mean the nerve of him, shaking hands with his fans, such rude behaviour, he should have just ignored us and walked straight into his bus like a decent man would have done it.

I went to an Influents show in early 00s at a super tiny venue in Los Angeles. It was very intimate, there couldn't have been more than 30 people there. This was around the time Some Of The Young came out, I got to meet Jason White, and the other members of The Influents, all of which were incredibly nice and funny. I was a huge fan of the Influents, so I was really happy to get to chat with them in such a intimate and small place, where no one else was even trying to talk to them. Then, later at that same show, Tre and Billie showed up, after about 20 minutes I walked up to Tre and shook his hand and spoke to him for a minute or two and he was really sweet and not nearly as zaney or wild as he always seems. That night he seemed just super mellow and polite, he was wearing a leather jacket and looked incredibly buff. When I saw Billie I totally froze, obviously cause like all of you I am an enormous fan, have been since Insomniac came out, and he is one of my favorite songwriters. I didn't have the courage to go up to him at first. Then after a minute or two he disappeared. I had no idea where he went, I just assumed he left and I had missed my opportunity. An hour or so later I was in the bathroom and when I walked out of the stall, there he was washing his hands. No one else was in this tiny dirty bathroom, so I just washed my hands next to him, and said something along the lines of "hey man i'm a really big fan, really love your band". He smiled and said thanks dude, or something really simple and polite. I said something else about how he was one of my favorite songwriters and that I just wanted to tell him that, I sounded like a complete tool, lol. but he was super nice and just politely and quietly said 'thanks so much, i really appreciate that' he dried his hands, shook my hand and said have a good night and left. I was CRAZY stoked. When The Influents finally went on to play, I stood with my friend watching them play their set, and at one point I looked over and Billie was standing by himself like a couple feet beside me, with a beer watching the band. It was just the icing on the cake, that I got to watch The Influents play, in a small intimate venue with like 30 people there, everyone just kind of standing really chil, with Billie Joe a couple feet away from me, all just enjoying the influents for the remainder of the night. No one talked to him, everyone just watched the band and enjyoed the music. It was kind of amazing, and I'm glad I got to experience it. sorry this was so long

I was listening to a recent interview with Dave Grohl, and he talked about how one of his daughters, Violet, has a really good oral memory, and he said that "whenever she hears the chorus to a Green Day song, she can repeat it", thought that was pretty cool!

I've now met all 6 of them. Tre was the last one I had to meet and it was great that he was the one to come out after the Barclays Center show. Also Billie is not a jerk! He's actually very sweet. He took a picture with me, wished me happy birthday (on camera) and even commented on the picture i had him sign which was of him and Rocky and also put his hand on my head which I'm still trying to figure out why. They all are really nice.

I met Tre in Birmingham and Cardiff 2005 Got him to sign my Warning album and Tune in tokyo album I met Mike In Manchester in 2009 got him to sign my 21stCB album I met BJ in london after Foxboro Show - he was wasted so didnt do photos or autographs but he hugged me and said "ive seen you at all my shows" and kissed my cheek .... BEST NIGHT EVER !!!

In an ideal world, they would do a two week residency in London where they play each album in full over the course of the two weeks. They could do the 11 studio releases over 11 days, with rarities as the encore, then the last 3 days can be a mash up of requests from the audience, covers and anything else they feel like playing. Of course this will never happen, but other bands have done similar things in the past.

At the show at the Allstate Arena, Billie constantly made eye contact with me. So eventually, I just started making funny faces at him to crack him up and he smiled a lot mid song at me. I met them after the show (having connections is awesome =) ) and he told me, "You! You were the one that kept trying to make me laugh!" and he started cracking up.

I enjoy this one a lot
