What I saw Thursday night was unbelievable Songs I thought didn't deserve to be there was my highlight of the night. I always thought a song like WMUWSE was way to personal a song to be on American Idiot and was only there to be a good selling point. It was quite easily marketable. Although when it was played last night everything became more clear. I realised that anyone can associate with what is being said in that song. Even myself. It was at that point I felt a the most emotional connection to any song I have ever heard in my life. I couldn't help but get choked up. It was one of the greatest moments of my life. Masterpiece. Exactly.

Yeah true At the time I think I was actually kinda annoyed with it playing over and over again. It's weird because now that I am a huge green day fan, I can remember almost every time I first heard a new green day song. I guess in the back of my mind I was always on the fence wanting to hear if the next thing was that much better. American Idiot and seeing some live performances really put me over the top. I can even remember hearing a song from Dookie for the first time in the 90's at a friend's house. First time I remember hearing a punk type song. Wasn't sure what to think of it at the time lol. Even hearing the Austin powers theme song on shenanigans all these years later, I can remember a conversation my brother and dad had about first finding out it was green day that did the song when the movie came out. I think they both were surprised that it was pretty good haha.
