  1. Super long post here goes... Okay. So the documentary. Also, the producer of the musical was there for the talk afterwards too. The documentary was AMAZING. A shocking amount of interviews with Billie that were done for the documentary, and well as a whole behind the scenes look at the creation of it and about Billie when he played St. Jimmy. My favorite part of the whole thing I think though, was when they showed Michael Mayer previewing a song from the musical to the Green Day boys for one of the first times, before Green Day even gave it the official go ahead. The cast sang through Last Night on Earth, which if anyone has heard this version it is very different than the original Green Day version, and they showed Billie, Mike, and Tre's reactions. Adrienne was sitting behind Billie when they were watching, and in the middle she started smiling and tearing up a little and tapped him on the shoulder and he looked at her, smiled and gave her the biggest kiss ever. It was adorable in 8,000 ways. But the documentary was very interesting, if anyone has both a love for Green Day and musical theatre, they should be especially excited. Another favorite thing from the documentary, was an interview with Billie about the premiere of the musical in New York. He talked about how Donald Trump was there and just said "Seriously...like what the fuck? Donald Trump? Really why are you here?" It was also adorable. My only complaint about it was a lot of Bullet in a Bible footage was used, which I as many other Green Day fans have, seen it a million times. But it wasn't bad by any means. Unfortunately, I couldn't film any of it (the setup of the auditorium would have made it super awkward and obvious) and I didn't get any of the interview because they asked for it not to be filmed. The interview was great, especially with the producer there (I can't remember his name...). The coolest thing I took from the interview was them talking about Billie playing St. Jimmy. It was revealed by the producer that the part of St. Jimmy was written for Billie from the start, if he ever chose to play him. Which is why St. Jimmy has no difficult stage moves or dances, nothing Billie, a broadway amateur, couldn't do. He talked about how him and Michael Mayer had gotten to "plant the seed" in Billie's mind from the beginning talks about it, especially through talking to Adrienne about it. That whole thing was really cool to hear. I also heard a few funny stories, like the question got asked about who else had asked to play St. Jimmy. Davy Havok from AFI as many people know has inquired about it, the guy from 30 Seconds to Mars apparently, some other random people that weren't as exciting. Nothing else really super stands out to me. The documentary mostly focused on the musical making process, as well as how Billie felt about the musical. I also saw the musical live for the first time tonight, and get to sit in the very front orchestra seating in the middle, I caught a pick thrown at the end, and I thought it was amazing
