I never said I look down on anyone. As I said, I also think Billie is hot, but that's as far as it goes for me. Fangirling for me isn't saying that you think someone is hot, it's comments like "Oh my god, belly porn!!! I can't even... he's so sexy, I'm gonna die!!!" and stuff like that. I hope you get an idea of what I mean. I do have fangirling moments too, but then I just say "He's a really handsome man" or "He's still very sexy" or something like that. I don't look down on people who say stuff like I mentioned above, it's just that I wouldn't do it and that I don't really like it which is why I usually don't post in threads like this one or the Green Day's clothing one. It has nothing to do with thinking that I'm better than somebody who posts regularly in these threads though.

It just seems that anywhere I see a reference to "fangirling" it comes across as negative...I don't know, maybe I'm making a choice to see it that way because deep down, I'm a fangirl, but no matter what, I'm in it for the music... So I'm not spamming... (sorry mods!)...in honor of the anniversary of the last performance of American Idiot...here is a photo my partner Laurie took at the concert Green Day put on after the show...

The thing about the term 'fangirl' is that it has no solid definition, so it's meaning is up to interpretation.... Some define it as a solid fan, who has giddy moments for their interest, while others see it as someone who goes overboard and obsesses... I consider myself a fangirl. So when I use the term, it never has a negative connotation. But my definition is more example A than B. And because this thread is about pictures!

Not to pick on you...this is just a general comment about "fangirling"...or maybe it's a question and more than likely, this isn't the place for this, but fuck it... What is with people looking down their nose at other people who think Billie, Mike and Tre are attractive men...it doesn't necessarily mean we think they have no brains, or have nothing intelligent to say...nor does it mean that the person "fangirling" doesn't have a brain either...so, out of curiosity...what the fuck is up with it? Do those who don't (or at least say they don't) act like fangirls think they are better than those who have "fangirl" moments?
