Writing up a post for GDA. Found a way to embed the poll directly on GDA to encourage people to vote. I'll be doing that. And I'm going to send out a newsletter asking people to vote.

I @ed MTV with the screenshot I took. Hopefully they see it. There's also already a thread about it on community feedback on MTV.com, so I posted about it there too.

Hello all. I've been communicating with a few members from my forum and we (Coheed fans, obviously) would like to offer a proposition. We help you guys take down that God awful Adam Lambert and, in return, you help us defeat the equally God awful Tokio Hotel. We will both be gaining from this and we can even keep this alliance going through to the Final Four until the Championship round of course. That way, one of the two previous champions would win their second Championship. It seems like a daring scheme, but we are both losing our respective polls and we both need all the help we can get. If you decline the offer, we will not vote against you. We'll just leave it at that. But if you accept the offer, you'd be receiving consistent support from one of the "MMM powerhouses", as MTV likes to call us. We can only gain from this alliance.

I just created an account there and left a message. We're not doing anything sketchy with the poll on GDA. I just took the poll directly from MTV's site and embedded it on our site, didn't add any code or anything to give extra votes to Green Day. I think they're just look for something to hold against us, which they don't have. Unlike them, where they have members of their community teaching people who to use bots.

Nice! I see the official Green Day newsletter just sent out an email. That's amazing. I'm sure it's going to reach all kinds of fans. They're talking bullshit. There's nothing fishy on our poll. Nothing at all. Anyone who knows even a tiny bit of HTML can look at the poll on GDA and see that it's made by PollDaddy and being submitted directly to them. Nothing weird on our end.

So I've been trying to time it and it takes them about 3 minutes to gain .01 percent sooo. let's say this decline continues, we've got five hours left, 60 minutes in an hour, so divide 60/3, which .20. So they'll increase about .20 every hour, multiply that by 5 (amount of time we have left) is exactly 1 percent...My bad if my math is off...Now this is not taking into account if the decline time increases or if we happen to have another surge of votes..So in other words, we can pull this off, but just keep voting!

I like how they think we're cheating - we got up because we're determined, Green Day posted the links to Twitter and Facebook - GDA has it on their site and is promoting it like hell too. I don't see one single post on Adam's Facebook about this. How fucking dumb can you get?

I find it equally hilarious that they voted for us last round, so they didn't have to go against James Durbin. We'll show you.

The trap is not to stop voting when we'll finally get more votes than Lambert because the Lambert fans will use these moments to get more votes than us again. I hope that makes sense...

I figured this is clearly a battle of who wears the most eyeliner. No matter how pretty Billie might be, a victory is just not gonna happen. Glambert uses a whole eyeliner pencil per show. Were finally moving up! Keep voting!

i feel like this is less a poll about who has the most fans, and more a representation of who has the most fans with no lives... woo hoo green day reigning champs! haha they certainly appeal to that demographic. now excuse me while i vote like crazy!
