Yes it was a great show, to have seen them so many other times, this was special. It was so much fun. They love to play to the hometown crowd, we are the lucky few who have the greatest band living in our own backyard. TheRose871

Yes Mozzabillie, we are lucky to be living in the Oakland bay area. We are a lucky few to be able to see them play at a hours notice, whether they are playing a small club or an arena of 20,000. You can sense that the were loving playing in front of a big crowd again. The were great Friday and to see the three of them again and they were having so much fun playing. I remember seeing them in the early days and the energy is much the same. Let's hope we don't have to wait much longer for another show. I am sure they gained some new fans that night.

I had no idea that he was recording as we entered the arena (FIRST!). Then when Live 105 sent out the full info, he had me read it for him to record lol. He's the one in the Live 105 photo next to Laurel, who's not making an expression. He's actually a huge GD fan, and was also at both recent secret shows.

Thank you for posting that interview, desertrose. What they said in that article is so true when the reviewer said, you never know when you are going to end up at a Green Day concert and to keep your ears open. That is why I always try to tell myself to keep my phone charged because you never know when there might be an earthquake or a surprise Green Day show...either one is likely to happen at any time while living in the Bay Area! LOL I did not listen to myself because I went to the show with my phone at less that 60% battery life. Luckily it worked out and left the concert with the battery life at 20%.
