  4. We all know Green Day worked with U2 to cover "The Saint's Are Coming" but what other band/s do you think would be cool to see Green Day work with? I think it would be awesome if they recorded a song with The Who.

  6. Those are for season tickets. You want to purchase single tickets which are not for sale for SF yet. You'll have to wait a while since it's the last stop of the NA tour.

  7. While he's not so much of an established musician, I think Rocky needs to do lead vocals on at least one Green Day single. His rendition of "Last Night on Earth" captivated me. And when I found out he'd also done a version of "Gloria," I beamed with joy. But I think a brand new song needs to be written just for him to sing.

  14. Something along the lines of the first three albums would be sweet. I'd love it if Jesse Michaels did the artwork . . or the dudes responsible for Kerplunk and Dookie.

  16. new blog from nicci I was sore last week. I've been bruised almost every day. I've gone through Lorin Latarro's and Steven Hoggett's warm-ups. But today was the first real day of fatigue. I think it was pretty much across the board a rough day for everyone. As Talia put it, a kryptonite day. I could tell by the end of the warm up that my body wanted to say "no" already. Just absolute fatigue, and all we had done were some sit ups, stretches, and galloping across the floor. Luckily we started by blocking We Are The Waiting which is pretty low key. Phew. But being so low key, it didn't take long until it was in our bodies and we moved on to Novocaine. What a song. There's definitely a lot going on in different story lines, but this is where a group of us had to throw our bodies around the stage, flopping like very precise fish all over the ground. We're supplied with knee pads for whenever we want to use them, but by the end of the day my knees were still stinging. And it wasn't just because of Novocaine but because right after that we did St. Jimmy. That's a lot of flopping around in a different drug-crazed-like way, more being on our hands and knees. I love the choreo/staging/whatever you want to call it. It's precise and hard hitting and looks great but man oh man... it's a beast! I get the feeling it can only get better from here though. I'm definitely not feeling the soreness that I was last week, and through I'm getting more bruises the big ones are fading and I'm figuring out ways to try and prevent getting more. I really would love to get my hands on a measuring tape or scale and see what awesome damage these rehearsals have done Although it's not written on our schedule for tomorrow, I get the feeling we're going to do a run of everything we've learned so far tomorrow. That means from the top of the show through... Give Me Novocaine. That means we've learned half of the show in a week, plus bits of other things we'll string together later. I'd say that's pretty good! And I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be spending every day with learning this stuff. I had a good feeling about what I was getting into during fly week - the five other people were so easy to be around and ready to help each other. That was definitely a preview of what everyone else would be like. I could gush about everyone but you'll learn soon enough how amazing they all are. Two final things: One, if you haven't already you should check out Kelvin's blog. He cracks me up and speaks the truth! And two: BJA's email to the cast. I'm keeping the "Ps" a secret.... for now

  21. Just some updates of a few of the Broadway Cast: - John Gallagher Jr. will be in Aaron Sorkin's upcoming HBO show. The pilot was picked up and John will be heading out to LA next month to start filming. - Michael Esper is currently in the off-Broadway production of "The Lyons" at the Vineyard Theatre. That was extended until November 11th. - Stark Sands got married in July and is filming his CBS series "The 2-2" which starts airing in January. - Mary Faber got engaged in June and will be getting married early next year. She also auditioned for SNL, so let's see what comes from that. She's still in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying." - Christina Sajous is joining the cast of "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" as Arachne. - Aspen and Tony Vincent announced that they're expecting. Aspen is due in April. - Van Hughes & Leslie McDonel are said to be joining the "American Idiot" tour as Johnny & Heather, respectively. - Jason Kappus is joining the second national tour of "Jersey Boys" as one of the leads, Bob Gaudio. - Alysha Umphress is returning to the St. James in Michael Mayer's new show, "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever." - Wallace Smith started previews as Judas in "Godspell." - Jeanna de Waal, Andrew Call & Sydney Harcourt are still in Old Globe's "Rocky Horror Show" until November 6th. - Ben Thompson & Sean Michael Murray are in the off-Broadway production of "Rent." Ben will lately join the off-Broadway production of "Carrie" with Jeanna. - Declan Bennett is playing gigs with "The Mess" (aka Chase Peacock, Brian Charles Johnson and Gerard Canonico); the latest being at The Bitter End last night and upcoming at Bowery Electric on Sunday. I'm sure that there are more but that's what came up off the top of my head.
