just found this collab of pic on tumblr.: first thought was: Why Tre’s face is so red? 1. Just got from sunbath. 2. Just got from tanning beds. 3. First level burn. His madame has got him snorkling donnuts. Again. (that frying-pan was frying something) 4. First level burn. Guys made bad prank with him (got hot water instead of cold. ups, a mistake). 5. First level burn. Got drunk at the beach. (turned off at 12a.m. restarted at 6 p.m.) 6. First level burn. New sunblock cream. (bad one). 7. First level burn. Forgot the sunblock cream. 8. Allergy. Got new face cream. 9. Allergy. Got new funny costume. (old good bunny lost his head) 10. Fucking middle-age. (storm of hormones) 11. Tre's not a human. He is a chameleon. (trying to be like shirts) Correct answer is…? (thinking about the last one).

Billie Joe at the Kennedy Center!

That second shot makes me extremely excited for the new era of Green Day. We see Billie looking very stoned, Tre looking like a pompous ass, Mike rocking the Tom Petty wannabe appearance, and Jason standing awkwardly giving one of those shy, lip-twitching smiles. And people wonder why this is the band for me.

I think it's both. It's "the subliminal mind-fuck: America", as in America can be a confusing, contradictory, mixed up mind-fuck. But I think it's also deliberately putting the phrase " fuck America" out there (as in "fuck the aspects of America I'm singing about in this song"). This is particularly noticeable when you watch them playing it live, Billie often shouts out the "fuck America" part extra loud and clear to make it separate. The fact that it says "the subliminal mind" just before it makes it even better, since it's kind of like you're hearing the phrase fuck America subliminally with it hidden within "The subliminal mind-fuck: America". So yeah, I reckon it's a double meaning.

I think he's just shouting random shit to make it sound more country. I hear 'Hey ma!' and I also hear 'Pick-up truck'.
