Billie's vocal quality grew several orders of magnitude while he was working with the show's vocal coaches....and he's going to bring that back into the studio when the band does their next album. It's going to be so goddamn amazing to hear what he sounds like now. GAHHH!

The party was originally just a GDC meetup on Sunday night after the last show. Someone suggested the Irish Rogue since it has an upstairs area so it was just going to be "buy your own drinks and food and hang out." At some point, I guess Dawn got involved and wanted it to be the "Idiot Awards" for Green Day Across the World, the date got changed to Saturday instead and it all became more formal with food from the venue, a DJ/Karaoke guy and decorations. I heard several invitations were provided to the cast and BJA/Adrienne, both verbal and written, but no one really knew for sure that they were coming until they started walking in. It was a really fun party, even without the addition of rockstars and Broadway actors. Nothing like hanging with Green Day friends and screaming the profane part of Platypus along with everyone in a big crowd.

I thought I'd share this I listened to some clips of the cast album when it first came out and immediately decided it was awful. I listened to it in full today, hoping it'd bring back some memories and having way more respect for it now I'd seen that the show was beyond amazing after I expected that to be awful, too. The album is brilliant - the clips don't do it any justice at all. I really enjoyed listening to it and I'm playing it again now because it was just so good. I was really getting into it but wondering how the hell I was going to react to it being Tony instead of Billie, not because of who Billie is but because he was the first St. Jimmy I saw so to me he just is St. Jimmy. But I was pretty taken aback. Tony was so good! Not the St. Jimmy, but if I'd seen Tony first I'd have thought the same about Billie. It really brought back the memories too. I definitely recommend it for anyone who's seen the show and wants to remember it, whether your St. Jimmy is Tony, Billie or Melissa. But see the show first - so you can appreciate quite how awesome it is and everything's a surprise when you get to the show. Listen to it in full too! It's still good but not as effective if you just pick out random songs.

That was one of the first things I thought of when his Jan-Feb run was announced. If I was blown away by the falsetto in LNOE and other songs on 21CB, I'll probably need to pick up my jaw from the floor when the next album comes out. Also, it's not going to be just an improvement on the studio...imagine how much better he might sound on the next tour! He'll have all these tips and things that will improve his live vocals

I think they should have given it to Aspen with Libby as the understudy. She kicked some serious ass with it when I saw her on for Christina on 1/9.

I'm talking from an overseas, european point of view, where all i have is YouTube and illegal!Johnny to look at , and from the first news that came from Berkeley, Gallagher has been Johnny for me, and Gallagher made the show for me So that's why i find a him not being that anymore hardest to get used too. Wishing Van on stage and you in the audience the best of times though

Eh, maybe he's better suited for Broadway, but I liked the way Billie did it. More human, as J'net mentioned in her review. Addiction personified, rather than some malevolent alter ego influencing Johnny's thoughts and actions. I fucking loved his performance.

So I finally downloaded the Cast album of AI.....it makes me cry remembering what a great fucking play it was to see. I feel so blessed that I got to see it and I really hope to go again!

I am sooooo happy for that girl!! I saw the video a few weeks ago and thought she did such a great job and shes soooo talented, I saw everybody's comments saying that they wish her she gets the chance to meet Green Day someday and all, to get the videos attention up and all I'm really glad she met Billie!

One of the things the song's about is revenge, and I think he's saying getting revenge is like an orgasm. All that hate for someone builds up, and then you get a huge feeling of satisfaction when you finally get revenge - just like the build up and release of an orgasm. An orgasm is one kind of spasm and revenge is a "spasm of love and hate" - in that moment you're full of hate for the person and at the same time love getting revenge on them.
