If I was to unleash a self destructive, drug pushing, manic alter-ego, it would not come in the form of a middle aged woman who plays acoustic guitar. I'm sorry, I do like Etheridge's music and the woman herself, but I can't see past this being a stunt to boost ratings. Call me cynical, and I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm yet to discover the logic behind why this is a good move.

Wow, it's shocking to me that so many people have no idea who Melissa Etheridge is!! An iconic figure indeed - for her music as well as her stand on gay-lesbian issues and her recent bout with breast cancer. And then there is that whole David Crosby sperm-donor thing. When I first heard this, I was all "WTF" like a lot of others. I, too, worried that throwing another "star" into the role (and someone who had no ties to the musical at all) would turn it into a little bit of a sell-out circus. Thinking about it, though, I think she just might be freaking amazing in the role. She has the pipes, no question. And the few times I have seen her perform, she has got a definite flair for the dramatic. I think it might have been at one of the Grammy shows when she was still recovering from cancer and undergoing chemo where she came out and performed beautifully with a bald head. The girl has guts. I am interested to hear how this goes, how the role is changed for her.

All that matters is if she's good or not - and kudos to her, she's got a tough act to follow.

Really. It's just... The more I see him, the closer to him I feel. Everyday I fall more in love with him. Everything I see his face I get the same feeling as if it's the first time I'm seeing him. And that was 7 years ago. But it feels like yesturday. No one will ever understand what I feel for him. It is love, because I've never felt like this for anybody else. And it goes pass the looks, it goes pass the music, it's all the way to his soul. He's a beautaful person inside out, and I wish everyone in the world knew that. All you need to do is watch a single interview, without foccusing on his face, just listening to his words, and you'd realize how amazing he is. How he cares about his fans, gah it's just so hard to put into words, but I know how amazing he is in my heart. And no matter how old he gets, I'll always love him the same. People tend to think I'm one of his biggest fans just because of his face, but they're wrong. The looks is a bonus. It's his inside that counts, and he's just amazing. And I'll forever love him and I won't give up till I meet him. I'll do anything.
