Before green day, I didn't listen to music. Period. I was like 13, but still. I had an iPod, who knows why, with about fifty songs on it all of the r&b or pop genre from now! CDs. It hurts me to think about it.
Then, in 2008 I heard boulvard of broken dreams on the radio and... It was like an epiphany, I suddenly realised how captivating and powerful music could be, and more than just a catchy tune!
Since then, I first got more green day music, then I got into other alternaive bands which my friend told me about, like nirvana, my chemical romance (didn't last too long), blink, muse, and the kooks.
Most recently I've been getting into older classic rock like the beatles and bob Dylan, which I salvaged in my dads cd collection. also older pinkish stuff like the ramones, the clash, the runaways and now the replacements.
So basically, green day gave me music. Which is pretty good for a lucky play on a local radio station!!
