    Saviors - Album Discussion

At last. According to greenday.fm, Saviors album and streaming sales figures for April have now surpassed FOAM. https://greenday.fm/charts/album-sales/ It's taken some time I know, but it's no reflection on the album's quality of course. As the fans album ranking still has Saviors at 3rd place behind AI & Dookie. https://greenday.fm/charts/green-day-album-rankings/ It's just a sad reflection on musical tastes as punk has maybe lost it's hold on main stream, idk. Still, their loss. Can't think of many bands that have released such an awesome album, after 30+ years. We're the lucky ones. And the band continues to draw huge crowds at venues during Saviors tour. Still, imho, the bestest live band in the universe ever. From their humble beginnings of playing back street small clubs, to 50k plus stadia, it's always been for the fans. So proud to be a GD fan, so proud of you GD.

    Green Day Q&A Thread

Who has managed the band over the years? For how long? Who is their manager now?
  15. I thought it was weird to use American idiot as the final song Holiday would have fitted it more in my opinion (No spoilers)

    Green Day References

I went to a gig at 924 Gilman yesterday, checked out a bunch of green day stuff while I was there, anyway the band playing was a japanese band called Ging Nang Boyz, the band are fans of green day, in fact the members of ging nang boyz used to be in another band Going Steady who have played with green day, during the set the band's singer Mineta was talking about hearing green day while he was in high school and saying how special it was to play gilman because of the green day connection

  25. We‘re going home to northern Bavaria, but on Friday 20th. That’s too late for you I guess?
  26. Is anyone here going to the concerts in Vienna? I'm looking for a ride towards southern Germany after the show on June 18. Any tips on where to find a lift or how to connect with people? There's nothing on BlaBlaCar yet, and FlixBus hasn’t been much help either.

    Green Day On This Day

On this day 8 years ago (5 April 2017), Green Day played the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, CO on the Revolution Radio Tour. More photos on the GDA Tumblr 14 years ago (5 April 2011), Billie Joe's third and final run as St. Jimmy on Broadway began. 27 years ago (5 April 1998), Green Day played the Andrews Amphitheater in Honolulu, Hawaii on the Nimrod Tour. More photos on the GDA Tumblr 'Armstrong had gotten ahold of bikini panties and a bra. He dropped his pants to reveal … white boxers. For modesty’s sake, he pulled the panties – white tag showing in the back – up over his boxers, before doing a bump and grind. This is one guy who should always wear as much clothes as possible. The show had to be over when Tré Cool came crashing over his drum kit. Having been hidden behind drums for the set, the green-haired drummer was going to have his time in the spotlight – even if he had to kill a few instruments in the process. He punctuated the proceedings with the crash of a microphone on a cymbal, threw his bass drum, then, lifting his floor tom over his head, he bashed every side on the corner of the stage as if he were husking a coconut.' — George F. Lee, Honolulu Star Bulletin 31 years ago (5 April 1994), Green Day played the Oz Nightclub in Seattle, WA on the Dookie Tour. More photos on the GDA Tumblr
