I don't know why he picked him to be honest. Not trying to discriminate, setting aside very real pretty privilege, there is such a thing as discrimination that "the most conventionally attractive" people face too, in that they can be regarded as stupid, hollow, devoid of personality etc. and harshly condemned for some behaviour that nerdy looking people wouldn't be, but I think looking at this guy, I think it should have been abundantly obvious from the start that he was a show-off (not a die hard GD fan) and then on stage that is exactly how he acted. I mean everything from his style to his demeanour gives it away. In terms of his behaviour on stage, I get that people on stage can get exited and run off (I think I might without meaning to) and being on stage is obviously an exciting experience. But that's not what this was, this guy was strutting off calmly, boldly, chest out, as if he owned the stage and, I think crucially, he kept ignoring Billie. Never really looked at him. Eww. Always seemed rock solidly looking forward, "into the cameras". What I think was the most awkward thing was that one point when he was kind of standing in front of Billie, blocking him from view for a solid half minute with a "look at me me me" attitude. And you could see him holding onto the guitar for dear life at the end, refusing to give it back, and then he threw the goddamn pick into the audience!! Yeah, not cool. So Billie's reaction was warranted, that guy did not deserve to be up there. It all seemed like he did this for an Insta or TikTok reel, and tbh given so many influencers attend Coachella, it could well have been that. Shame, 9/10 people are overjoyed and grateful, being on stage, but I mean, this is Coachella, which probably increases the frequency of self-absorbed spoilt brats, so it's not reaaaallly usual Green Day territory anyway. The only thing I'll say in this guy's defence is I don't think Good Riddance is particularly conducive to fans being up on stage, regardless of who it is. It's such a personal song in my view, as a show closer, and I think all attention should be on Billie and then Mike and Tré. -
I‘m still streaming this on repeat. Hope you support me there!😉

Okay, but I just saw someone praising an artist for doing "13 songs, no breaks!" at Coachella. Girl. Rude.
-
Absolutely. Simple as you say. GD generally described by critics as " a speedy, catchy, 3-cord punk pop band, with heavy use of power cords". And yet so effective and infectious, set the benchmark for other bands, yet none comes close. This song is no different. What an awesome song, and as for the guitar solo, holy shit. Just have to do what Billie Joe tells us to do and go fuckin' crazy, again. Can't stop jumping up and down and shaking my head. ❤️

Oh I see, yeah one way to make them stay is if you upload the pictures to an image hosting site eg Imgur

I remember watching Quatro dvd, the making of Trilogy. That part where band sat in a room, there's a board in 3 sections for each album. Sticky back cards with each track name allocated to each album. Billie Joe is holding the last card wondering where to put it and throws it at board to see where it lands. lol. According to critics, Uno songs where power pop style. Dos, garage rock. And Tre, a mix of poppist and raw hitting. Whether you think some songs don't fit that criteria idk. Imho I wouldn't change anything, as it's Billie Joe's choice. A special reminder about the Trilogy is that they where the only studio recordings, along with Demolicious, with the band as a 4 piece, including touring band member Jason White as additional lead guitarist. The idea being to give studio recording a more live feel. Which was generally felt worked betting on Demolicious than the Trilogy?

You got me there…..🤣

its See You Tonight lmao

Wait could you tell me, I am not one with acronyms, haha I am fine with imo, lol, but not when people on here shorten song names loll
-
Guns and Ammo is the name of a gun enthusiast magazine so that’s probably the reference
-
What is SYT? (nevermind, I figured it out)

This was a suggested post on Facebook 😂

IMO if i had to trade tracks... Troublemaker to Dos Baby Eyes to Tre (its really hard to put Dos tracks on the other 2 albums due to its theming) 8th Avenue to UNO (make Stay The Night and 8th Avenue transition into each other) i would also make SYT a hidden track and make Brutal Love the closer of Tre, with 99 Revolutions being the opener instead
-
I completely agree with this, well, rather than the Lazy Bones on Tre. The other two songs seriously have the vibe of Dos and Uno, especially Troublemaker since Dos is kind of billie's horny era loll.

I am looking at who reacted the "love" emoji on this post and of course it is us fangirls. We can look at him all day, right ladies? @Mollyluna

Reading guns and ammo could be a reference to that Luigi guy, right? Didn't they read the words he put on bullets? I'm sure Billie had a lot of thoughts on that whole situation but didn't want to talk about it specifically so....word salad!
-
I agree with this statement for the most part, the only thing is that I think Troublemaker should be on Dos! Lazy Bones on Tre! and Missing You on Uno!

Yeah, I've got no problem with it (obviously). They fuckin rocked as they always do, and I love to see them conquer everything they want. I just want everyone to love them as much as I do, so the idea of a *potentially* lukewarm crowd makes me squirm a bit. -
Yeah I knew about the mic (which is why I probably should've fully guessed about the ear pieces!). I can just imagine them cracking jokes into it from time to time.
-
I spoke too soon. OEB has now been played twice today on that same radio station I mentioned in my previous post. This could be good news for the song, because I believe the station is owned by iHeart Radio, so it probably means a lot more stations also started playing it recently

The three Saviors album version releases, follow a similar pattern to AI, if I remember correctly. The Japanese AI release had a bonus track, and the digital deluxe release with 3 additional new tracks. Favorite Son, Too Much Too Soon, Governator, and Shoplifter, respectively. Imho, I thought the deluxe edition then was awesome and a great addition to the original. So with Fever added, I'm really excited about deluxe version. If the others are as good as SILB, this should be epic. GD, your spoiling us, again.

I would've preferred an acoustic version of fancy sauce over father to a son

The nice thing about in ear monitors is each one is customized for each player so they get the mix that suits them best and can hear what they need to. They can also communicate with each other on stage through the in ears via one microphone that you can sometimes see set back near the drum kit. Billie can speak in that one to call an audible or make a comment and the other players can hear him but the audience can't.
